Terms of service.
The terms you agree to when you use Pinnix. Plain English, fair, and no surprises.
About these terms
The terms you accept by using Pinnix.
These are the terms between you and Pinnix Ltd (Pinnix, we, us) for your use of the Pinnix service. Please read them. By creating an account or using Pinnix, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
What Pinnix is
A daily planner you use, that we run.
Pinnix is a daily planner web application, built for neurodivergent people, that helps you capture, break down and plan your tasks. It also works in mobile browsers. We run and maintain the service; you use it to organise your day.
Your account
Keep your login safe, and you must be 18 or over.
You need an account to use most of Pinnix. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us straight away at hello@pinnix.co.uk if you think someone else has accessed it. You must be 18 or over to hold an account (see clause 12).
Plans, pricing and your trial
Free forever, or Pro at £15 a month with a 14-day trial.
4.1Free plan. Pinnix has a plan that is free forever. It covers the core board, brain dump and manual planning, with no time limit and no card required.
4.2Pro plan. Pro unlocks the AI features and costs £15 a month, or £135 a year if you would rather pay annually (that is three months free against the monthly price). The price you sign up at is the price you keep, unless we tell you otherwise in advance.
4.314-day Pro trial. Pro comes with a 14-day free trial and no card is needed to start it. If you choose to subscribe, payment begins at the end of the trial. If you do not subscribe, your account is not closed. You simply move to the Free plan and we do not charge you.
4.4Team plan. The Team plan is for businesses buying Pinnix for their staff. It is billed per seat and is governed by our separate Data Processing Agreement and B2B Terms Addendum, which apply in addition to (and, on Team matters, in place of) these terms. Those documents cover seats, billing, renewal, data protection and the privacy boundary between a team member’s work board and their private board. We provide them on request and before a Team subscription starts.
Billing and renewal
How and when you are charged, with notice before renewals.
5.1Pro subscriptions are billed in advance in GBP. Monthly plans renew each month and annual plans renew each year, unless cancelled.
5.2We will send you a reminder by email before an annual renewal so you can decide before you are charged.
5.3If we ever change the price of your plan, we will tell you by email before it takes effect, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
Cancellation and refunds
Cancel any time. You drop to Free, never locked out.
6.1You can cancel any time from your account, or by emailing hello@pinnix.co.uk.
6.2Monthly Pro ends at the close of the current billing cycle. You keep access until then, and we do not refund part-months.
6.3Annual Pro is refundable pro rata if you cancel in the first 30 days. After that, it runs to the end of the paid year and does not auto-charge again unless you renew.
6.4When a paid plan ends, you are not locked out. Your account moves to the Free plan and your data stays with you (see clause 7).
Your content is yours
You own what you write. We only use it to run the service.
7.1Everything you write into Pinnix, your tasks, brain dumps and plans, belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of it.
7.2We process your content only to provide the service to you. This includes sending the text of a task to a third-party AI provider so it can be broken down or planned. That provider processes the text on our behalf under a contract that does not allow it to be retained to train models. Where that processing happens outside the UK, it is covered by an appropriate safeguard, which our Privacy Policy explains in full.
7.3You can export or delete your content at any time.
Acceptable use
Use Pinnix lawfully and do not try to break it.
Use Pinnix lawfully and reasonably. Do not try to break it, overload it, or use it to harm others or to store unlawful material. Do not attempt to reverse-engineer the service or extract our code, except where the law says you may. We may suspend access if you seriously or repeatedly breach this clause.
Availability
We aim to be reliable but do not guarantee zero downtime.
We work hard to keep Pinnix running well, but we provide it as is and do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We are not liable for short outages, scheduled maintenance or third-party failures. If there is an extended outage, we will be open with you about it and, where fair, credit affected paying users. There is no formal service level agreement on the Free or Pro plans.
Limitation of liability
Our liability is capped at what you have paid us.
10.1Pinnix is a planning tool. It helps you organise your day; it does not make decisions for you, and you remain responsible for your own choices and deadlines.
10.2To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. On the Free plan, where you pay nothing, our liability is limited accordingly.
10.3We do not exclude or limit anything that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Changes to these terms
We will email you before a material change takes effect.
If we make a material change to these terms, we will tell you by email and update the date at the top. Continuing to use Pinnix after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms. Earlier versions are available on request.
Age
Pinnix is for adults, 18 and over.
Pinnix is for adults. You must be 18 or over to use it. We do not knowingly provide the service to anyone under 18.
Termination
You can leave any time. We can close abusive accounts.
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or abuses the service, and where we do, we will usually tell you why.
Governing law
English law, English courts.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
